If you know anything about the AMP industry at all, you know that these women move around a great deal. Some of them have traveled all over the U.S.. Very few of them stay in any one AMP for very long. There are many reasons for this. The most important ones have to do with economics.

But it is simply accurate to say that they are trapped in an AMP. It is my belief (and this is not just conjecture) that if they chose to, they could work in any industry in which they could find a job. For instance they could work as waitresses, in nail salons, etc. The reason that they do not is because there is no other industry in which they have the ability to make the same level of income as they do in AMPs.

As has been pointed out, they choose to work in the AMP industry for a lot of different reasons. Some do it out of greed, some to try to fulfill personal ambitions, others to care for children or other family members, and some to pay off gambling debts.

Therefore it is most accurate to say that some of these gals, if not most of them, are trapped rather in the industry than in some particular AMP. I do believe that many of the AMP workers are "trafficked women." But I don't believe they are slaves as such. No one holds a gun to their heads. Although in some cases they may fear for the safety of family members held back in other countries such as China. The AMP workers are not shackled to the massage tables at night.

Please don't propagate the inaccurate idea that these women are sex slaves. That can do nothing but harm to the industry, the women, and ultimately also to the customers (you and me).

Work had been hell the week before, and all I could think about was sleep for much of the time. I used to go here before, not much has changed except for no improvements. Anyway Lilly was young, attractive, very thin, a spinner you call them I think. She looked so familiar to me. I could not place her.

The session was good, quite an acceptable DC session. I recommend. I paid. 7 + 1. 2. Lilly was accomodating, although my tastes are pretty normal. She is direct, almost abrupt, but when you talk to her a bit she becomes sweet. English = poor.

I kept trying to place her, she looks very, very like the pretty gal that worked at Gerwig up in Cloumbia a year or so ago. She said it was not her. I must have run into her here, when it was open last year.

She says that by tomorrow, Saturday, there will be three ladies there.

I've had good and bad at each place and I've found it hard to make carte blanche assessments on specific spas. Providers, yes. Entire spas, no. There have been some very bad spas that were horrible across the board but they generally end up closed. Or they remain in business due to lack of competition.

I've been in places where I'm just not comfortable. Wasn't the girl ,per se, or maybe it was, but I did not have a relaxing experience. Sometimes it's just bad timing. The ladies are human too - good days and bad. At these times I've tipped well and it becomes my next ATF. The woman is happy to have had someone give her a nice time and change her bad day to good. Every time she see's me it puts her in a happy place which generally put's me in one.

However, I just don't like certain places. I can't go to the C-Town nail salon. That just rubs me the wrong way. Should they be closed because of this? Who cares. Not my decision or place to judge. The market will. Places cannot exist because of how I feel. Like in any free market society, the market will determine its worthiness. There must be something good going on to keep this entity viable. Or there may be a couple providers that impress customers enough to ensure repeat business. In any case, it is fulfilling a need in the market. I'm fairly confident they do not exist to prove a point or survive as a non-profit.

hmmm... are there any grants available from that TV guy in the question mark suit!?!

On the flip-side, if one entity takes a hit via 'regulation', they all suffer from the fallout, whether real or imagined. (i.e., customers are scared and flee the market, providers are scared and flee, owners fold under pressure which creates a standardized response in the market - all owners may fold under the least amount of pressure, knee-jerk reactionism as opposed to logical thought or legal rights, etc.)

In any case, when one entity suffers from 'outside' or 'regulatory' forces, they all suffer. Otherwise, the market (us guys) will determine suitability for survival.

Not bagging on ya, just my 2 cents. There are places I cannot understand how they remain open. Multiple providers, different days, always a bad experience for me. I'm thinking it's not me with repeated bad experiences but who knows. I'll just review to you guys what occurred and you can make the decision on whether to support one place or another.

I have noticed that my wife (who is not Asian) doesn't taste as good even right after a shower and douche. I think diet has something to do with it also.

Speaking of grossing out, I used to visit a Thai in another city who explained that if I eat a lot of pineapple (or drink pineapple juice), I taste better. Asparagus, otoh...

Could a few of you DC locals help a frequent traveler out? Most every trip I make to DC I end up strolling through Chinatown one night looking for AMPs. I've never been able to locate one just by walking around. But I also haven't had much luck online. I always stay in Dupont and there are a few options there but I keep thinking some will pop up in Chinatown. Is there really nothing there? It would make sense to have some there.

I just got into town and based on recent reviews checked out Mist. Parked nearby at about 11PM on a Thursday night and the one thing is the street was pretty crowded with a bar crowd, more so than on my earlier visits. I don't really care and nobody was right in front of the building but there were dozens of people on the street so you do get seen entering and leaving.
