l think that a lot of the guys that "bash" Western women do so bcoz they have a poor track record of pulling them.

So Cal is probably not in the catergory given his age......his problem is more of a lack of maturity one....he is 23 going on 14.

In my (limited) experience on this issue:

* Most of the single women travelling to Patong are in the 20-27 age bracket, and there's enough farang men in that age bracket interested in them for it to make for a crappy evening of competition.

* Farang women in/around Bangla aged 30 and above tend to be partnered up. So they might be out with another female friend or two having a drink, but they have a fella back in the hotel.

* Too many Australian women there who bring their 'chip on the shoulder' attitude with them from home.

BUT....what if it has nothing to do with individual people, whether from the West/East/South or North ?

I for myself developed a kind of a very obvious kind of interest to Asian looks over the past years.

If I see a western woman passing by, I don't even accidently follow her with my eyes. If I see i.e. an Indian woman, the same, nothing happens.

Now, sitting at the same spot, where ever that might be, and an Asian woman is passing by...well, it happens that I loose my concentration for a moment and start observating every movement of hers

Call it a fetish or whatever...I'm happy with it. It's nothing personal against where a woman comes from; but some like it white, some like it black, and I just love it Asian. That's it really.

Well variety is the spice of life mate, plenty of places to meet farang girls in Phuket. They are drawn to the Bangla and Beach Roads just like everyone else.

Not a stupid question, but you wont need the answers for anything, i remember myself being in Banana bar at patong beach in June, and the dance floors were crawling with Blank white, western, chuppy girls singing "dont you wish your girlfriend was hot like me"

And i was like WTF!!!!!

I simply desgusted these white girl compared to the Lovely Bargirls.

dupree has a good point. You are old enough that you don t see what is goin on. There is way more female young offenders then ever, girls fight more, swear more and act like men more then ever. Going on a date these days is like going out with my 14 year old brother. Swearing burping smoking going on the whole time, it makes me sick. Im not bashing them, i just wish they were more practical. If men dont make women realise what they are putting them through then were does it stop?
