Here is another place that I just wandered into, and found it full of parlours and such. The girls on the street are quite forward, as they approach you, grab your arm, and try to steer you into their places. If you take the exit out of the station to the buses, you will see some vending machines(of course) and an ATM (not for international cards) on your right. There is an alley/street right there, and the girls and parlours are down there. There are a couple of gaming places too, so it's a weird mix of kids and sex trade workers in there sometimes.

Sunprince, I think you would be right that Sydney has many hopeful newcomers from overseas who are able to be enticed.

It was love at first sight............that miracle of all miracles. The miracle that can be so fleeting that we need to seize the moment when it finally arrives.

Yet, it was not to be; my GFs mother noticing the implications of the scenario quickly ushered me away.

The two of us (my demure helper and I) were struggling for intelligible words......none were forthcoming.

Much to my regret Ive never been to Kyoto or Osaka. Sunprince, it has been the case for a long time in Japan that the novelty of western dudes has worn thin unless you are the stereotypical kawaii youngster, preferably blonde. Certainly this is different in Taiwan and Mainland China, where large numbers of westerners havent been around nearly as long. Western men have been in Japan in significant numbers since the end of WW2.
I never thought of the English section of a large bookshop, I will certainly try it next visit. Having never been to Kyoto I didnt know it was full of uni students. Maybe its just me but I never once fucked a Japanese uni student for free, I went out with plenty but never scored, never scored with any of my Nova students either, although younger teachers did. I think most uni and nova students are Ojyousamas, few Jgals I got were tertiary educated and even fewer spoke good or any English. Never found one girlfriend in Japan I wanted to keep, I mostly fucked the wives and girlfriends of Japanese men.
I think things are getting harder for expats, novelty value wearing off at accelerated pace now since so many gaijin have jumped on the Japan English teaching bandwagon in the last few years. Also Japan's economy is slowly opening up to foreign corporations so more corporate expats with large salaries, not just relatively poor english teachers.

Interesting stories and I relate yo your Oz experience, although Sydney has collected many overseas 'hopefuls' who are amenable to being enticed.

I have a Jap GF (Osaka), whom I met via language exchange lessons in Sydney. I agree you need confidence and persistence. But many ex-pats who live there tell me things are getting harder because the novelty of a western man is wearing off unless you're young.

Like my fellow countryman correctly pointed out, money is the key with the younger ones. The pay in Japan for the un-skilled is paltry, yet the Itailian fashion houses are beckoning.

I feel that places, like starbucks, are not a bad bet. Kyoto is full of Uni students and wanton attitudes.

Many guy set the girls up from ads in the Metro newspaper; English teachers there are doing nicely, too.

The English section of a Kinokunya bookshop is another option.

Getting tougher..............easier to pick them up in Sydney.
