Getting back to making money.
A lawyer friend makes a base salary of $250k and with bonus's is usually around $500k per year. She is one of the top lawyer's in her particular field and she works a lot, usually over 80 hours a week.
Another person I know started a business, a chain of restaurants, pays himself a monthly salary of $30k US, so $360k US per year. Not sure how much he works, I would only see him in the office and never knew how much time he spent doing work when he wasn't in the office.
Had another friend who started doing renovations on his own then grew the business so much he had to hire others and was just managing them, he mentioned that he was doing over a million in sales per year, now this didn't take into account all the expenses so I am not sure what his net income for the year was but he did well but had a lot of headaches because he always had problems with his staff not showing up to work on time, doing shoddy work, etc. He ended up getting rid of all the employees, taking less jobs each year, and doing the work himself, less money but less stress.
