Yes, I asked you to look consider your own biases and realize that they are conscious biases. This is an important point. There is no evidence that any kind of unconscious bias training works for the simple reason that we haven't figured out how to reliably train the unconscious. So all of these businesses and schools that are purporting to make things better by making this kind of training and "education" mandatory are basically like faith based religions. If you have a "split second" reflex that is actually contrary to your beliefs and morality--you know it. You don't continue to act on the reflex as if you're not conscious of your actions.

When I referred to Marxism I was talking about the philosophical approach, not the literal economic doctrine. BLM for example is a Marxist organization in that it sees the world as divided by (racial) class, motivated by power and attributes characteristics to people based on the colour of their skin.

As for the the opinions you've addressed here, you're either basing it on erroneous second hand information or have heard him say things that I have not. He is not against ANY form of welfare. I've heard him repeatedly say the state has a duty to help people who truly cannot otherwise afford it--such as the mentally ill.

As for taxes, all I've ever heard him say is that the richest people are the only ones paying any tax when you factor government entitlements into the calculation. He's not the only one saying that. Moreover, if you ask most people if they think we pay too much tax, (here or in the States), the answer will be yes, and I happen to think so too. I am not a tax expert and my mind is open on the subject, but Shapiro is not against paying taxes.

He is against minimum wage laws and his view makes a lot of sense. There is a lot of evidence to support the claim that minimum wage laws drive up unemployment. It is simplistic to think you can "create wealth" by simply mandating a minimum wage. Small business still account for a considerable share of labour and many of them simply won't hire as many people if you make them pay a minimum wage of $15.00 per hour in the U.S. What he is especially against on this topic is a FEDERAL minimum wage which is a truly stupid idea because the cost of living in New York is nothing like what it is in Arkansas.

First, congressional hearings aren't about information. They're about grandstanding, as is evident in this clip. I don't know who this General is, but his answer has nothing to do with what CRT is. Who could disagree with his "motherhood" of a rant? No one said anything about not being able to read about stuff and learn. No one was trying to prevent him from learning what happened on January 6. The question, (which also seemed to be grandstanding) was what he thinks about CRT being taught.

Here's the problem, I have one understanding of CRT, you seem to have another. I believe I know what is being referred to under that umbrella term. You seem to believe it's involves nothing more than a benevolent "awareness raising" on racial issues. It doesn't. If it did, I'd have no objections.

CRT says you can know something about a person based on their skin colour. It says that the law and legal institutions are inherently and historically racist and exist to support social, economic, and political inequalities between whites and blacks. It says if you are white, you have what you have at the expense of blacks. All evidence shows these claims are not true.

Briefly though, the current tax situation is that rich people pay very little personal tax, but through their business activithy account for almost 100% of the money that runs infrastructure, pays for military etc. So, look at Elon Musk. Dude pays no income tax, structures his compensation as "loans". But how much tax has he contributed to the American economy through the payrolls he's created and suppliers he keeps in business?
