Hey, all … just wanted to thank you all for the great information that’s posted here. I read a good bit of it prior to making my trip to Shanghai and I had a very good time. Unfortunately, because I was there with some non-mongering friends, I wasn’t able to explore the sexual side of Shanghai as much as I wanted, I still did get to enjoy the ZY Bar several times.

Not certain but in my experience BBS has always been used in the context of an apparent barber shop, which is really the front for a brothel. They have spinning red and white striped poles in front, but frequently there are stylized pictures of girls on the striped pole, too. The farther you get from the center of the Central Business District, the more likely a barbershop is a brothel. Find a spinning pole and look inside: if there are 4 or 5 semi-sexy women sitting around, you have your answer.

Well if this is closed then I do not know where they moved too. The other BJ factory is supposed to be on the corner of Maoming Bei Road and Wei Hai Road on the 5th floor but everytime I went there it was shut tight!

I would suggest if you want just the BBBJ CIM experience then go to ZY Bar at 1771 Xin Zha Road next to Jiao Zhou road. You can get a much more relaxing experience than the Huang Pi Nan Lu factory. It costs 350 RMB for one beer and one girl. IMHO the days of Huang Pi Nan Lu are over. Each time I went there were only two to three girls. All which have pretty crappy attitudes.

I would like to get into the Suzhou thing.
There are many places that you could go to in Suzhou. I don't know the Suzhou New District Side but I am very familiar with the Suzhou Industrial Park side. If you take the old city district as the center, (Where all the gardens are located) then Suzhou Industrial Park is on the East and the Suzhou New District is on the West.

1) Shi Quan Jie. If you go to the bars you can get a quickie for about 400 RMB plus a beer. Beer is usually 15 RMB. They also do take out but they ask for like 800 RMB to 1000 RMB.

2) At the end of Shi Quan Jie going west towards Feng Men Lu there is a large red light district. Pink lights everywhere. Just go to the corner of Feng Men Lu and Dong Huan Lu. The places are grubby but there are some great lookers there. Asking price can be anywere from 100 RMB to 150 RMB FS. I usually do take out. They accept 300 RMB for short time outside of their premises.

3) Near Feng Yang Jie. It's near the Shanghai - Hangzhou expressway I think. There is about 11 BBS places that offer FS. Asking price is usually 250 RMB.

4) Near the train station. Head east ( I think ) on Bei Huan Lu. If you are at the Suzhou Train Station. Then grab a cab and head east on this road. You will have to pass the roundabout. It is about 5 minute taxi cab. It's near the expressway ramp to Shanghai. There is a long line of about 15 BBS. Full of nice looking girls. Sorry I haven't had a chance to try here.

5) On Dong Huan Lu Near Zhong Xin Lu. Walk towards the Bank of China. There are about 5 BBS there. It's very pink and full of girls. At any one time there are about 3 to 5 girls. 8) There is another place near the aforementioned Feng Yang Jie but in the opposite direction. It's the cross street of dong huan lu. There are about 8 along a very long street. I am sorry for the vague details. I can't remember much.

9) There are two KTVs on Shi Quan Jie. They are within walking distance with each other. I haven't had the chance to try these places.

10) There is an Aussie Pub on Shi Quan Jie with awesome ice cold draught beer for 30 RMB a pint. Full of foreigners. Just a great place to relax and have a beer if you ever get bored of hunting.

I hope this helps others who will visit Suzhou since I over the years I have gotten a lot of information from this board. On some points they are a bit patchy on the details and I apologise. I sort have gotten used to the places I frequent.
