Why will the authorities want to implement a system that allows you to lie to them? It doesn't make sense. Might as well remove the process of logging in your ID totally. Don't fool around with things like this. Gives the AV a reason to be harsh on you in the event of a raid.

Why not put a short form of your real name if you are worried subsequent people writing in the log book might recognise your name? Christian name plus chinese surname, or chinese name without chinese surname? Micheal becomes mike?

Logbook with police crest ? I went to a new MP last week, a clean one, massage only. Signed in as usual but did not notice any crest on the log book. So only some mps have log books with the police crest ?

I don't get it. I don't see anywhere that it is a requirement by law that i must sign in with my real id. until then, i'm not obliged to, and if the police interrogates me asking why i never put in real name and ic, i want to know what law requires it and why is it not prominently displayed?

If MPs really want to be serious abt it, then they need only require that we show them our NRIC and they note down the details themselves. This is standard practice in H81.

I could have bad handwriting, like a doctor's. Can't blame me if mata can't read what my chicken scratches say.

I'm also worried about identity theft. Nothing to stop some idiot Reviewom stealing my name/ic Reviewom the signin book, and then start using it everywhere else - other MPs, for spam, for illegal activities. If MPs are going to do it properly, the signin book should be managed by them, not by customers with bad handwriting, spasms, dyslexia, parkinson's disease or any other hand eye coordination illnesses

There is nothing that says we as customers must record our details, as required by law.

I checked the statutes and the 2004 amendments leh. If anyone can point out where this is clearly indicated in law, I'd appreciate it. Because the statutes does not indicate that the MP must maintain a record of all customers either. Just the above clause which really allows mata to check any documentation in the premises.. story book, cheque book, bible, childrens book, etc all count.

Thinking back, whenever I go to proper massage joints like the Balinese ones, Naturecare, even the high end ones, there's no requirement to 'sign in' at all. Of course you need to make an appt but that only requires name and contact. Some spas may ask you to fill out a form with name, address, health problems etc but i don't remember nric as requirement. And such forms are kept in their office, not on display on their counter. Even when I go to TCM or Kohong, no requirement to sign in leh.

I always use my real ID. Well, I am not sure of massage parlour owners are really interested in things like identity theft. Most likely they are just looking at making a quick buck. Also, they are probably doing it to make their mp look a little more legit. Better to use real ID in case got raid. One less thing to explain if you are caught in the act...

bro.i also agree with you cos i think why should i write down my particular, and the funny thing is the record book was always on the counter for everybody to see the name,ic number and what time those customer come.

so if i eat snake and go hc instead of meeting customer one day.if i so unlucky and happen to let my boss saw me go inside,and let say if he is unsure,he can act blur and go inside and pretend to enquire but on the same time see whether my name is on the book or not to caught me red handed.

name is fine but ic number is strictly no no.
