Happy Friday everyone,
My name won't ring a bell unless you saw my one other post a few month's ago before I became a hobbyist. I had an amateur question and got pro advice so I thank some of you for that.
I logged on today to give my first review! I popped my hobbyist cherry a few months ago at Pickering Angels but finally visited a premier spa and was blown away (figuratively, not literally).
Before writing my review today, I decided to read through some of the latest threads and comments. Back in the summer when I first signed up, the topics here were 80% helpful, insightful and all around pleasant & 20% nonsensical whining, bickering & complaining which can be expected of any forum. Today, I'm finding the opposite content. There are even topics that aren't even slightly related to the hobby world. Try www.reddit.com. There's something for everyone there...even some of you deranged individuals.
I'm 30 years old, hard working, professional, kind & courteous. From what I can tell, the majority of hobbyists are older than me which is all well and good. More age, more wealth, more time... It makes sense. Generally, maturity levels increase with age but there seems to be an opposite result on here.
I thought this may be a community I would want to be a part of but without moderators who can keep the content relevant, mature and respectful I'm probably going to have to be more of a lurker on here and a secret hobbyist. I've found the premier chain so I don't think I'll need much more advice, just an occasional review here and there.
I'm not saying that I won't ever visit this site, comment or share. Just in case I post something next month I don't want one of the trolls commenting saying "you said you were gone forever! Fucking liar!". I'm just really unimpressed and turned off from this forum all together.
