Even if you're a guy who's a little cynical and jaded, and views holding off for a bit as little bit of a game, it's a game that is very much worth playing, IMHO. (I mostly hate games, but a little bit can go a long way. Especially when it comes to proving that you're semi-mature, not creepy or a creep, or so desperate that you'll try hard to shove it in every hole you can.)

I see holding off as part of the BS game only when someone wants to, thinks the guy is pretty good, seems to care, has "gone to the trouble" and still doesn't simply because "she wants to make him work for it" or "nice girls don't put out on the first date" or "nice girls wait until 7 dates" or some other BS "rule" of the game. Just like one shouldn't call the next day.....BS BS BS if you want to call, CALL. If you want to fuck FUCK.

The reason I'm against this sort of behavior is because a lot of the time, the ONLY reason the guy is "going through the trouble" is to get into her pants and the whole time he's doing that he's thinking "ok, I'll do this THEN get to fuck her" or "holy crap, wtf else do I have to do to get laid"? or "holy crap, she better be good after making me do all this crap"......

The thing is, guys that think this way? Just about always get some the first night because frankly, I don't think many women can tell the difference between a genuine guy, and a player......

I understand that POV-- Like I said, I have a pretty low tolerance for that sort of thing myself, though I'm guilty of both the not calling the next day and the not fucking on a first date. In my case, like I said, I find it helpful, and in deference to your POV, if it even starts looking like a series of hoops I'll be the first to walk away.

I think this might be a case of 'the expected theatre' around dating, vs 'playing games'. IMHO, it's always a good thing to keep the level of BS to a minimum and to be as honest as you can reasonable be.

Where I'm from, it was considered polite to give the guy at least a BJ while you make him wait for more (assuming he's decent and you were planning on putting out at some point).

It's only when I moved to Ontario that I came across the notion that giving head on the first date is "slutty".
