1) Can't imagine trying to SLEEP on Revoluccion. Getting a hotel "para toda la noche", in order to save money on multiple encounters, MIGHT make a modicum of sense, but not lying in bed TRYING to sleep!

2) Most ALL of those bars have SOME shemales. It's not so much a matter of avoiding bars where they are, but developing an avoidance strategy.

The "grope" method mentioned is good; and, to a lesser extent, the "take a look for yourself" technique can be helpful. Probably best is to invest a few bucks in tips for one of the waiters to fork over the intel. Personally, having watched (and even participated in) a number of embarrassing incidents, I'm skeptical of the claims by guys who claim they can ALWAYS tell (the hands, the Adam's apple, etc., etc., ad nauseum!)

3) Most of the places on what I would call the North side of the street have remained mostly unchanged for decades. My attention has recently been drawn to a number of newer (or reconstituted) joints on the other side, the names of which I can never remember. There are some (previously) undiscovered jewels around there.

You might want to rethink staying on Revolucion. Especially if you want to sleep.

Eclipse, Skandalo, Bambi, San Suci, and El Tigre are some of the clubs with shemales. (Many clubs have both.) Ninos Hereos is full of them too.

Grooping is allowed in TJ. So before getting a lap dance, etc. before to check out your chica. Also, in "rauchy" strip clubs be warned that the best looking girls are often shemales. A hot chica can work at a first rate club, a hot shemale can only work in an "also ran" club.

Anybody else notice what seems like a trend: In the "old" days, on the rare occaisions that you'd find something you wanted on Rev. the drill was to walk a couple of door to the hotel (a la Adelitas/CClub). Then, at least for me, because of the number of TV's and other trans-whatevers, it wasn't even worth spending any time there at all.

Lately (six months or so???) as more of the places change hands, they seem to be incorporating ways to get more action there in the bar. Haven't seen hotel rooms, pe se; but have been in several rooms with beds, locking door, etc. The "room with a curtain over the doorway and large couch" seems to come with more options available and with OEM females, even!

I can never remember the ever-changing names of the different bars; but I do like to "warm up" there before going to Adelitas, and have come to find more action than I thought happened in those bars. And sometimes for more reasonable prices.

Was I just "out of touch", or is this some kind of trend?
