No Hands Massage

H, No Hands Massage is very unique - while there is plenty of training around using your forearms etc, non that I know of are as comprehensive as No Hands.

There are quite a few practitioners in London, have a look at the Practitioner list on the website. I can highly recommend Suan and Micheline at Omni Therapies, Suan is a No Hands Master and also trainer (she was my Foundation course trainer).

The range in abilities of No Hands practitioners is as wide as it is in any other style of massage - some are great and some are far from it!! You are only an hour up the line from meand Iwould be happy to come and give you a No Hands Massage sometime.Maybe we could do a swap?

Yes, I have decided to go for it - I am sharing a room and travelling by coach (12 hours!!! YIKES!) which keeps the costs down - so I will see you there. I am getting excited about it already

I just received a massage from an IPM trained therapist. While it was similar in many ways, it was different - some moves were different, some were very similar. Some were ones I would use, some not. I did find though that on a move similar to the rolling pin, there was no focus on the area of the arm to be used and that the ulna edge was being used more than was comfortable.

She very much adapted the speed and variation of the massage, whereas in NH I find that we are taught a routine to do. Once we get to advanced can anyone tell me if we get more options for adapting the treatment to the individual?

Once you get through the Practitioner Bootcamp you will have the full set of all No Hands movements to use, and from there onwards be able to Flow and follow your Hara to vary the treatments as you wish. The routines are good on the TT course, but you really get to have fun when you start playing around with all 70 or 80 (i forget how many) strokes.

After I posted I did the sensible thing and looked at what it saidon the nhm website about advanced- it has been so long since I booked the course I couldn't remember, and it basically said the same as you.

I suppose the biggest issue is really my confidence - which has improved massively since doing NH, but I still have moments of real self-doubt about my ability.

Thank you so much for the offer. We don't do swaps in the clinic so it would have been a case of me coming to you, and an hour does sound like quite a long way. Let me go with Omni this time. I am in need of some specific work on my core stabilisers (QL, psoas etc) and my left rotator cuff and pec minor, so a swap might not be appropriate in this instance. I'll let you know how I go with Omni. Much appreciated.
