There are plenty of good hygenic non -5star spas in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad at least, imho. The stinky ones are the cheaper places, more MP than spa. Most places with assured extras are less worried about hygiene. So it is a fine balance between your hygiene expectations, extras expectations and costs.

2. The towels. Why can’t they supply disposable single use bath towels like they do in airport lounges ? At extra cost
3. The floor too is too slippery in some.
