I stopped by a place last Sunday, the name of which I will withhold for reasons that will be apparent. After finishing everything, the girl and I chatted about the whole atmosphere in DC recently. Her English was not great, but from what I gathered, the few remaining AMPs are keeping a low profile. She told me that Gold (I think it is now Star, but she called it Gold, which is the 2nd floor at 1829 M Street) was visited by police about five days earlier, so it would have been around February 10. She said her friend works there, and told her about it. If I understood her correctly, there were no customers there at the time, but the police checked IDs for everyone there, and issued no tickets. She said the police issued only a "notice," which I understood to mean a warning, and she said the police also told eveyone to "go home." So, according to that story, I think they would have closed at that point and, according to the review by Bobby M, this would be exactly correct, as he said he tried visiting the next day and couldn't get in. He also said that someone from the 3rd floor told him that the 2nd floor was closed.

They seem to have reopened, according to the reviews, but the reason I wanted to post this was for something else my girl told me. After explaining the story of the police visit to Gold (i.e., Star), she told me that all of the remaining spas were nervous. Apparently the word among the spas is that there may be a concerted effort to crack down over the next couple of months. The girl I was with sad she is very nervous, and she knows that the other girls, in all of the remaining spas, are also nervous. Since what she told me about the police visit to Star seems to be accurate, I wanted to pass this along. For the next couple of months, at least, we should all be just a bit more careful. Hopefully, this too will pass, but I see a trend here that does not make me optimistic.

Dallas is real easy if you fly Southwest into Love Field. Take a right turn out the of airport on Mockingbird Lane, then right on Harry Hines, and down a mile or 2 you'll see plenty of SC's and AMPs. There are several AMPs off a side street (Storey Lane?) along HH as well.

I've also been wondering what will happen as the new adminstration comes in. On one hand, I would expect that DC will want to present itself as a wholesome place, with all the world watching. On the other hand, with a Democrat administration coming in, we shouldn't have to deal as much with the hypocrites who claim to want smaller government, only to proceed to try and inject the government into every aspect of our personal lives. I suppose we'll have to see whether there is a "cleanup" for the inauguration, and whether it lasts, or whether they allow things to go back to something resembling the past.

Had a meeting in the District, so I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to make a follow-up visit to what is becoming my favorite establishment. Yeah... i guess it is where you are at... in Guam they got at least one ground level structure that is divided into two separate AMPs... one Korean and one Chinese.
I have never seen more than one AMP in a building in DC.

Long time Chicago monger here coming to Metro DC area next week. I was there two years ago and stayed at the Capital Hilton I believe. I went to a spa that was right around the corner from the hotel on 14th. I think it was across the street from or down the street from a pool/billiards place. Downstairs in an office building below a club or a restuarant. Is this place still open and if so, what was the name of it? I cant really tell names or locations from your cryptic posts as I have read back about 10 pages on the forum.

The other place I went to was a third floor walk up. I remember passing Capital Grill and National Geographic TV as I was walking. It wasnt down an alley like the place you are talking about. it was on a main street with other 3 story buildings. Not newer ones. Would this be the place you guys are talking about having closed?
