I cannot remember the guys username but Ambler will remember his name, he had his real photo from cctv at a spa and was posting it here in massage planet.

I guess this is more then just a cash grab this time around. Change your spa type or possibly be shut down/legal action. Change it to what though? All the spas in GTA could apply for a bodyrub licence and 0 would get one. There are 25 body rub licenses in Toronto, and the application process is closed....

So what are the options for these spas?

I’ve only been asked once about large cash transactions. This was when operating a cash only restaurant. Fintrac doesn’t seem consistent.

Fair enough. But from my experience fintrac is kind of useless since it’s not applied consistently. If the bank tellers know you they don’t bother asking.

Actually, I think the two are related. The whole issue of tariffs started in relation to China, which then expanded to allies in North America & Europe (by extension) as a matter of principle - and is now getting out of control. There is a vibe out there that China is screwing us economically (and that the Chinese were behind COVID-19 as well ), and this is perhaps a way of getting even (given that most of the spas are operated by individuals of Chinese background). 2 + 2 = 4. The landscape is changing, and Canada is looking at ways to compromise with Trump no matter what - whether it's a non-existent fentanyl issue, more border security, etc. Heck, they already gave the international students from India the boot already - they couldn't care any less about MPAs!

160 East Beaver has no zoning issues. By Law suggested EB to apply for a Body Rub license which is about 6100 bucks, but the problem is most girls don't want to apply for a body Rub licence .. The licence fee is only $366 bucks which isn't much but girls don't want their names in records for personal reasons. Spas across the street have zoning problems. They must have changed zoning on that side after the major crack down a few yers back. Thanks to Invisible Touch.

If you want to earn easy fast cash,h there is a price to pay. I have no sympathy for them. Nobody ask them to work in this industry.

Next minute tariffs and covid turn your business upside down m that's why business owners has unlimited potential if they do things right

A class action type defence sounds like what they need to do. If it’s a zoning issue, they’re probably SOL. Landlord could try for a variance but it’s a stretch.

lol where are you filing a class action lawsuit at? The municipal act allows any municipality to pass a by-law restricting any type of business done in their respective area. Also, don't even bother asking any members of council to support you because no one will do that. The owners' best bet is to do a deposition infront of Council and bringing in lobbyist to support their cause. I would petition to increase the number of body rub parlors and be ready to pay the higher business license fees.

I didn’t write lawsuit. Class action as in to group together to fight together.
