In fact, they all have cloth walls, if you have ever been there and studied the joint. The owner of the building wants to keep the building available for different tenant options, so he is unwilling to drywall individual massage rooms. He regards it as an unnecessary expense and he won't get it back from renting to Essential Health. He will permit the massage owner to do the work herself at her expense and with condition that she have the walls demolished again at her own expense upon the tenancy agreement ending. Needless to say, she doesn't want to bear that extra cost, so fabric partitions are between the rooms. It works for everyone except seedy little freaks who go there in search of more than a massage.

Apologies for reviving an old thread and for the somewhat dated news... I checked out Essential in Oct 2017... I believe it was $70 for a 1h deep tissue massage. Part way through,was offered a HJ for $40. They offer RMT receipt and I believe they're trying to be legit as the masseuse asked if I want extras to pay in cash as a significant tip will seem odd to the lady taking payments. There were two ladies working... both I would consider Aunties... but overall, massage was decent.

I haven't been back since and no, don't really have any suggestions. I didn't make an appointment (I was a walk-in) and wasn't expecting anything so it was a surprise to me.

I went to a massage place near a bakery on Centre Street North that offers HE though. Haven't had a chance to write a review but overall it was a good experience (if you're looking for HE)
