In Toronto as of November 14th midnight all all adult venues spas included are to be closed.
York Region November 16th.
Bylaw will be out handing out fines.

The entire adult industry is shutdown. In Red zone areas until further notice. Hefty fines will be levied as Municipalities are sending out Bylaw Officers

are you certain about that? Spa's fall under Hair/Beauty salons, don't see Red zone mentioning anything about that.

Personal care services
Oxygen bars, steam rooms, saunas, whirlpools, bath houses, other adult venues, hot tubs, floating pools and sensory deprivation pods closed (some exceptions)
Services requiring removal of face coverings prohibited
Change rooms and showers closed
Require contact information from all patrons
Require screening of patrons (for example, questionnaire)
A safety plan must be available upon request

It may depend on whether spas are also considered under the "other adult venues". Not sure of law here. Anyone else have better knowledge? I admit ignorance and will err on side of caution at worst.

Showers and change rooms are too be closed in the above listed venues. I am right. Be careful if you're in a spa. All names must be taken at door and tables in all public venues

that I agree with, will be difficult to maintain customer base if names and phone numbers must be collected.


I guess I will be known as Doug Ford with 416-392-2489 phone for the next little while.

Personally I am all for the restrictions if they make sense but some of the restrictions in my opinion don’t make sense. For example at the gyms the limit the people to 10 clients but also require that all masks be worn at all times which in my view is overkill. Either make masks mandatory and increase the limits to say 25 or 30 people or b don’t make masks mandatory if only 10 clients are allowed at a time as there is more then sufficient space between clients.

i had info collected at 2 places so far. both of them are hard to avoid for me cause I consider them part of my goto list.

But i tried not to go them as much. I wish they would just ask that we showed them we had teh contact tracing app installed and no contacts etc.

"... in all seriousness, folks" this could have been foreseen. The shower restriction will clearly put a certain limit on activity. Only places like Premier who do require a minimal contact tracing set-up might even pass the muster. The smaller ones seem to have a hard enough time even posting a regular schedule with any reliability, and likely do not have the basic skills and/or resources to impose some reasonable sort of contact tracing records. And let's be honest, there are enough of us here who object to providing any info.

I am sure we will know soon enough, as the week develops. Some spas may stop posting schedules. That will be a telltale sign. Prepare for a long winter, my brothers.

That‘s totally not true now that only 10 clients are allowed in the gym at a time regardless of size I think it is safer as there is a ton of distance especially in the larger gyms. I was the only person using the treadmills during the hour I booked. The only annoying part is actually booking a spot as they are quickly booked up and the fact that you need to where the mask at all times even when exercising as it reduces the intensity of the workouts.

That would be a great method, but I fear too many people are not even using that covid tracing/warning app for any sense of reliability. Personally I am surprised I have never had a warning signal, and I do try to make sure mine is on whenever I go out. I just don't believe enough people are using it, thinking that somehow it's all part of some government plot to control the population. Too many shitty American movies I guess.

No or at least very few local politicians or the police are particularly concerned about prostitution, at lest partly because of limited resources. Thankfully this is not Alabama or worse. Local scene has been pretty chill for a long time now in this regard, only real LE targets would be exploitation of underage girls and human trafficking, at least that's been the consensus here.
However, by-laws because of a health edict could be enforced, businesses ordered to shut down. Local residents and other small businesses could complain and that would force authorities' hand.
