I found this place from a website - just google "shanghai sauna" - and went there out of curiosity.

I don't have much experience with 999 and other sauna places in Shanghai, but the hailang to me seemed a midsize sauna with 3 hot communal baths and showers on the ground floor and with the action happening on the 3rd. There's regular footmassages on 2nd floor but probably only for show.
Line-up of 8 girls, ranging from good to very good, made my pick but decided at the last minute to change to a stunning 9th girl who just joined the line when I had announced my pick to the caller.

That was a bad idea as she probably just came from another customer, and was not very passionate about the whole routine. I know a girl who worked there, she described what happened.

On the 13th two plain-clothes cops went in posing as customers untill led to the room. When the girl began to strip, they identified themselves as cops and started kicking down doors, trying to catch people in the act.

Sorry to hear that Fluky. I would always advise folks to go in the afternoon. 2-4 p.m. is the best time. Things have gone downhill slightly at 999. It used to be that you would have a fishbowl full of girls to choose from, all under 25, and most attractive. I think you will have to wait till after the expo for things to return to normal.

I just got back from 999 and they are open for business. So much has been said about the site that I will not bore anyone with a long report other than to say that it lived up to the hype and then some.

Just went to 999 this afternoon around 4ish. The previous direction is really accurate:

Take Subway #4, gets off at the Shanghai Stadium stop, follow the signs to get out to TianYaoQiao street. Go South (where the street number goes from small to large) about 10-15 minutes, you will see the 999 on the left hand side. It is a round building with red characters. You will not miss it unless you are not looking for it.

Got in, the standard taking your cloth off and hang in the locker, proceed to the shower, dry off, put on the pajamas, and being led to a rest area (a room where you can watch TV, order a couple of free drinks and etc.) Since I went in the afternoon, there was no wait, I was asked to go stand in fron the fish bowl immediately and pick a girl. There were only 8 of them. I guess they get busy early. Was going to pick 886 in other dude's report, but was taken by another asian dude. So i picked 905, a gril from Northeastern China, pretty face, tall, really firm ass.
