I do not do them often its just something that I don't like to do I go for 1 hour.

I enjoy doing 2-hour massages, but it helps if the client has some specific issues for me to focus on. If not, I use it as an opportunity to practice a wider variety of techniques than I might normally use in a 1 hour massage. I might get two, plus some shorter sessions, but it's rare for me to do more than one 2 hour massage in a shift.

The longest massage I have done was around 4-1/2 hours nonstop. It was a lot of fun, and I finally brought it to a close when I realized that my client probably couldn't handle any more. It was physically fatiguing, but the fun helped maintain my energy level throughout. However, I think 2 hours is probably a good maximum for most massage clients.

I know this is an old post, but I wanted to chime in about the subject.
I actually went to school in San Antonio, (Academy for Massage Therapy Training) where we regularly offered 2 hour massages (im sure the $60 for 2 hours kept them coming back!) as part of our clinical internship.
I do remember at the time feeling overly challenged, what on earth could I do for 120 minutes~! But over the course of time I've come to realize how much I enjoy longer massages! Both to give and receive! I feel that I can really give clients all the attention they need without feeling rushed, or feeling like I didn't meet all their expectations in a 60 min. I almost always prefer to do 90 min and above now.
Now that I am living in St Louis I notice that people up here always seem shocked when I mention a 90 or 120 min massage as a normal thing, it's more common for people to request a 60 min "fullbody" (which should be an oxymoron anyways!).

I like 2 hour massages, because I get to have more time working on specific areas. It also means you have to change the sheets less often during a given day. It's certainly better if you have a client with underlying problems that needs a lot of attention. 2 hours on a perfectly healthy client, however, can end up being a pretty boring massage to give. Really, I don't have too many clients that ever ask for 2 hour massages but I have no problem with giving them. As a client and not a therapist, I can only take about an hour and a half. After that, I start getting achy and want to get up from the table and really am done relaxing - it just ceases to be much benefit for me after about the 90 minute point.
