Worried about my size..

Hi all,
Ive been toying with the idea to attend massage school. The new semester starts this Jan. Ive been thinking about doing this for about 5 years now, and while I really want to go, I just dont know how practical it would be for someone like me. Im only 5' and way about 100lbs. Am I too small? Realistically, do you think I just wont have enough strengh to do this sucessfully as a career?

Being an MT has nothing to do with height nor weight. Do not let either stop you from doing what you want to do.

I am 5'7" and weigh 115 I get ALOT of people that look at me and say "There is no way you can hurt me, you are to tiny" Then they get on my table and I show them that I am very capable of giving an awesome Deep Tissue massage. When they get off my table or sometimes while on my table they tell me they were wrong.
As far as strenght goes that takes time build up in some people. Simple hand exercises will help you with that.
So yes it is very realistic for you!!!
Oh and by the way most tables are adjustable in height so that won't stop you either.

have to agree with Shannon, my massage teacher was 5'2 and bout 100lbs and could have 250lb rugby league players in tears with her pressure.
