Question Why Restauranta and Bars are more Vulnerable than SPA's in getting infected with COVID-19 ?

Just wondering why Restaurants and Bars are more Vulnerable than Spa's in getting infected with COVID-19.

A recent increase in the number of Positive COVID-19 is mostly (40%) from Restaurants and Bars.

Even if Masseuse is wearing Face Masks, distancing is not possible hence more vulnerable to get infected, isn't it ? or I am the only one who has this fear ?

It might be a matter of numbers and interactions.

Use a strip club for comparison or a restaurant both situations are more open and have multiple patrons at once. Spas are one and one and it's serial interactions that are happening. Any spa performing due diligence will be doing scheduled cleaning on top of cleaning after clients are out of the room. Diligent MPA will wear a mask and no kissing. Disinfection of hands prior to touching would (should) be in play. The calculus seems to be in a spas favour however due to anonymity if there's a problem it will be more difficult to trace.

This is actually not true. They are saying 40% of "known outbreaks" or 18 out of 50 total known outbreaks. To put into perspective Toronto may have 500k restaurants and out of those only 18 situations of known outbreaks have occurred. It's not really what they are making it seem

Well if SPAs actually did proper contact tracing we would know if an outbreak happened at one.

But we all know they would never do that and be honest so there isn't any proof of a spread coming out of one.

the only number they have are from bars/restaurants and strip clubs.

The increased numbers are coming from
A. Schools where kids will be kids.
B. Large gatherings like weddings, parties etc.
C. The fact that they are doing more testing now then ever.

you can't wear a mask when you are eating for a start. Some spas requires their customers to take temperatures before they are allowed to enter the room. None of the restaurants I have been too asked for temperature.

It may be a combination of everything.

but the bottom line is when they do contact tracing or even ask where you have been. Will any of you say you went to a massage parlour? I doubt 99% of you or I will say massage parlour to them

So long as the spas follow proper safety protocols and wearing masks I don't worry much going to spas cuz they are not spitting out droplets or airborne viruses with masks on. Just refrain from kissing. My go to spa has 30-40 customers every day and I have been going there 2-3 times a week since they reopened.
Restaurants, bars, strip clubs are a different story. Everyone is drinking, talking without masks and spitting out droplets. No surprises they have more problems there.
