Some US states are getting touchy about practitioners who want or need to touch their clients. I can't at this time offer you a direct link, but there are practitioners and "healing ministries" that offer quicky degrees saying you are a minister. In some states, this gives you a "license to touch." You should probably check your own state's requirements about what credentials are needed to get a license to touch. In some states, a certificate that you have been trained in some form of energetic healing, e.g., Reiki, would probably be good enough to make your practice legitimate from a legal perspective.
I have seen one local advertisement of a practitioner who leads an afternoon seminar. He charges about $300, and then you get a certificate that you are a member of some ministry. He travels around the country leading these seminars.
I am sure there are some individuals who are genuine in their desire to "ordain" people in a very brief amount of time. On the other hand, I am afraid there are some unscrupulous people who are just out to make a quick buck. Please be cautious with regard to who you choose to get a license to touch. I wish you well.
