what type of people practice alternative medicine

Does anyone know of any studies that show what type of people practice alternative medicine?

Is it more female than male orientated, what type of age group(s), etc.

If anyone knows anything about this i'd be really grateful if you could let me know, or point me in the right direction as to where I could find this sort of info out.

Not at all, I was wondering who the best people to target as clients are. Obviously there is no point me advertising in a men's magazine if the majority of people using therapists are middle aged women.

Just trying to decide where the best potential is for gaini9ng more clients!

I think they are mostly open minded or desperate people. i dont mean any bad reaction with my comment.but honestly i think so.
I think that most of people who dont find an answer from gp´s are currently the ones who would become into a best client.a few health centres let you put a notice on the board if you want to do that. remember that people think about other options immediately after getting an unwanted reply.then depending on how urgent, some of them might forget about it or leave it for after, (women, we have many other things to do!)have you tryied let yourself to be known at places where just women would go?

Hi,

I tend to get more women than men but men are quite diverse and surprising in what they opt to try out, and they do buy treatments for partners and family etc.

It always surprises me why schools etc never hold pamper evenings for men. Its not just women that like to relax and look after themselves.
