What to look for in a course provider?

Morning everyone

I am planning to commence the ITEC Holistic Massage course at some point this year (probably september) and am currently looking at course providers in the London area. I'm looking at private colleges and local authority providers and I've read all the prospectuses and marketing blurb, but having no experience in this type of training, I have absolutely no idea what things to look for in a provider, ie: facilities, student support, duration of course, amount of coursework etc etc. Can anyone help me out with what I should be looking for?

I've got a short list of course providers and I plan to visit them all if I can.

Hi Becca

If you want to do the course in under 4 months and prepared to go to a private college then I would recommend Complementary Therapies in Gerrards Cross. Their web site is [link=http://www.complementary-therapies.com]www.complementary-therapies.com[/link]. The courses start in Jan, April and September. Depending on your background you need to devote some spare time to learning the Anatomy & Physiology and there is also the massage case studies to do. I enjoyed it and with a maximum class size of 10 there is good interaction and plenty of time for questions.

One thing you could do is book yourself in for treatments to see how the placesare run and talk to the students. They arethe best ones for advice about the courses as they'll give you an honest answer!! I'm in Manchester and I'm doing my diploma in Holistics at the Local Authority college. This is a full time coursethough I took my certificates in Aromatherapy, Reflexology etc asseperate evening courses!! Good luck where ever you decide hun!!
