what kind of skills would be required to be a massage therapist?

I'm tossing around the idea of getting into licensed massage therapy here in NY state. I'm vision-impaired but I still think it must be a viable career choice. Does it require vision to be a massage therapist? Do you need to be particularly strong? What other skills would be particularly useful or necessary?

If this is something that you really want to do go for it. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it. You will probably have to do some anatomy classes I would think to locate pressure points on the body and you will have to have upper body strength for sure in able to really provide those deep massages. You will probably also have to do some practice massages in the classroom or in a salon like doing clinicals in nursing. I think it would be great. Your vision will only be a problem if you let it be. Go for it. There are some very big bucks paid for a good massage these days.
