What course qualifies me to massage professionally? How many years is it?

Whilst studying at The University Of Warwick I would like to do a massage therapy college course on the side (one or two evenings a week) for a year (or two if necessary), and gain enough qualifications to massage clients and make a bit of extra money.

Does anybody know if there is a years' course that will qualify me for this? Is, say, 'Level 2 NVQ' enough? And can I go straight to level 2 without doing Level 1?!

Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

level twos good enough three would be better and you can jsut go straight into doin it i did a level 2 in ict without even attempting the one :]

Hmm, becoming a professional massage therapist requires many many hours of hands on classes and clinic time. Im not sure if a college class could help you but there are many massage schools that can work around your schedule and you can finish in just 6 months. hope this helps.

I go 5 days a week for 4 hrs a day, I am almost done and will have been there 14 months. I have to have 500 hours to be able to practice massage in my state(Oklahoma). There are schools though that you can go 5 days a week and finish in 6 months, but I don't know about any that you can go one or two days a week.
