aromatherapy? Hi, hello! I'm writing some articles on aromatherapy for my newsletter and I'm trying to get ideas on what to write about. It's such a broad category, I can't figure out what to start with, so I'm looking for what might be the most common questions.
Anyone have experience with aromatherapy that can share what you get asked about the most, or questioned you remember having as a beginner? Anyone new to aromatherapy have questions that are fresh in your mind?
I'm just looking for questions here...
Ooh, I'd also love anyone trashing aromatherapy so I can "argue" against your points!
Nitram - do you have access to a real peer reviewed sources? There are so many that have been done over the years. Aromatherapy and the effects of essential oils are well documented. I'm lucky enough to be an adult student and have full access to peer reviewed studies. If you don't have access so something like that, you can search Google Scholar and at least be able to read some abstracts to see for yourself.
And just FYI, I've only written three newsletters so far, but the articles on herbalism or aromatherapy have been fully documented ONLY by peer reviewed studies. There's a lot out there!
Hey Nitram! I have a very busy life, and don't really have time for a lame online battle. One inconclusive study (which I don't know if it really exists or not, and really don't have time to care) does not prove anything. The hundreds, maybe thousands, of (peer reviewed) studies out there showing conclusively that essential oils and aromatherapy can have a positive effect on health speak for themselves.
