Has anyone here volunteered as a student? I am interested in volunteering with massage while a student. I have seen some ads for hospice orgs looking. I was also thinking about organizing a few students and giving some massages to parents at the Ronald McDonald house. My school used to have outreaches, but COMTA said they needed more "supervision", and this would increase tuition quite a bit so they don't have a volunteer aspect anymore. I have the student insurance through ABMB, and wanted to give them a call to see if it will cover volunteering. I would really like to give back to the community, especially since I'm working for free right now, and excited to do so! I am not sure how much volunteering I will want to do once I make my living from massage! I am in MI, by the way.
