During clinic this week, I noticed a varicose vein on my client that I'm pretty sure was not there the week before. Can they develop that quickly? Or did I possibly miss it last week?
After our session, I alerted her to it and said she may want to have it checked out by her doctor. I didn't want to alarm her, so that was all I said. Was there anything more, or more appropriate, that I could have said? I blanked out on the incident afterward, and forgot to ask my clinic supervisor if I handled it okay, that's why I'm asking here. I also indicated it in her chart after our session. After I mentioned it to her, she had said that when I was working next to it (I made sure not to work on it, or even closely proximal and distal b/c it made me nervous!), she "felt something". Agh! Scary! :undecided:
Thanks!
