Type of Massage Table

Hello,
What massage table do you have? Anyone have a Fitmaster?
Would you recommend an integral face hole, or one that sits on the end of the couch?
Adjustable back?
Wooden or Aluminium?
Any other thoughts greatly appreciated.

Hi - as a consumer I prefer the integral ones - they are more comfortable.
I once to my great embarassment broke a "hook on the end" one by leaning on it too heavily. It was probably wonky anyway, but it had to be me that did it in

My preference is wooden, height adjustable (this is essential), with face cradle on the end.

I don't find integral face holes comfy, and being 6'2" my feet usually stick over the end of the table with one of them.

Before buying a table you must go and see it, touch it, feel it, lie on it, put it up, put it down, put it up again, change the height, move the head rest etc. Would you be comfortable on it for for an hour or two? Is it easy to adjust for you?

Hi Nikkig,
I have a Fitmaster massage couch. It is wooden, height adjustable is a good width and has a face cradle with arm sling. I have had the couch for nearly 18 months now and it has been great. It is really light which is important to me because I do a lot of mobile work. All my clients say it is really comfortable and can I just leave it there so they don't have to get off when the massage is over! I did a lot of searching for the right couch and felt this was good for my purposes and was a good price too. Hope that helps you - happy hunting!

I have 2. The one that stays in my car has metal legs and 2 inches of foam. It is very light weight and great for traveling.

The one I keep at home and I use when I have a large group to massage at one location I consider semi portable. It has 3 inches of memory foam has a shelf for the arms when in the prone position, adjustable legs made of wood. It weighs almost twice what the other one does and takes more time to set up.

When I get to where I have my own shop I plan on getting a hydrolic tables so I don't have to adjust it to every person. But those don't travel very well.

my massage table is pretty nice. it's sturdy, large enough for almost two me's to lie on, (lol, not that there's two me's..) is pretty manouverable so my massuese has no problem moving it around, even with me on it and has a synthetic silk covering for comfort.
