Tontitown police arrested one person after they raided a massage spa, according to Det. Keith Lindley. Lindley told 40/29 News that their investigation began in November 2023 when police were notified that Foot Spa on Henri De Tonti Boulevard was offering sexual services in exchange for cash.Police started investigating that day and began working with other law enforcement agencies in the area who were investigating similar businesses. Lindley said the search warrant they executed Friday led them to significant evidence. Police said they believe there's a direct link between this massage parlor and others in Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale, other cities in Northwest Arkansas and even surrounding states.Lindley described the connection as like a franchise. Human trafficking is a concern and police are working to ensure the employees working there were not doing it against their will, Lindley said.The woman who was arrested is 61 years old and told police she moved to Arkansas from California about a month ago. She's facing one count of promoting prostitution.
