tingeling in fingers, face, legs, toes.....

A lady I work with came up to me today and said that her husband is experiencing tingeling in his fingertips, face, legs, and his gonads, but she is worried that it could be ms...she wondered if there is any pinched nerve or nerves or condition massage could help...I really don't know the answer to this one..i can see tingeling in the fingers etc..but it's pretty widespread..i told her they should immediatly see a doctor and rule out anything serious...has anyone ever heard of anything like this?

Definitely needs to see a doc. I have that in my toes, feet and hands. Progressively getting worse over the last 7 years. It's called peripheral neuropathy and there are literally dozens of possible causes from A to Z. Unfortunately for me, the docs (primary, 2 neuroplogists and an endocrine doc) think mine is relately to a metabolic disorder. Still testing to define it though. Oh, and the most common cause is from diabetes, which accounts for almost half of all cases. Do a web search if you want more info. Good luck to him!

Definitely suggest to them to see a doctor. My brother in law had some tingling in fingers and face and side, and such and it ended up that he was throwing mini strokes. Which a very short time later turned into a larger stroke. He is only 30. They did a special test on his brain and found a tiny tear in one of the arteries in the back of his brain, so that when he would cough or sneeze, those clots that were there, due to the tear, where being thrown into the artery and causing strokes. So tingling of more than one or two areas, especially so different of areas of the body needs to be checked out by a neurologist. Could be something simple or something deadly. One never knows when it comes to the the body.

Sorry to hear that, i'm being tested(QSART) on the 19th for autonomic neuropathy. Still have not figured out what is wrong with me. Hope they discover what it is and it's nothing serious.

I experienced that with tick borne illness...Lyme disease and related coinfections which were transmitted by a tick. The two I had were ehrlichia and babesia.

They are difficult to test for and even more difficult to find a physician who really understands how to clinically diagnose and treat them.

I did not have a tell tale rash, nor did I remember being bitten recently.

Thought I would mention it as something to consider...
