I have been reading on this site for a couple weeks now.I am in the practicum part of my massage school and today was first one. I had a client scheduled for me by teacher who is a Dean at the college and ALWAYS gets massages during the practicums. I was SO nervous to do his because he has ALOT to compare me to. Anyway I had him last so that helped take some of the tension off. ( In truth I was too whipped to be nervous lol) Anyway I bought a bottle of water for each of my clients to give to them after their massage. (Idea I got from all of you ;D ) I made sure I worked his problem areas REALLY well so he felt I paid atention to his complaints and when finished gave him his complimentary bottle of water. He LIT UP!! I could tell no one had ever thought to do that for him before he seemed so impressed.So I couldn't wait to read his review of me so I did. He gave me top marks, said I had good adjustment of pressures and gave ample attention to his problem area. And my favorite comment was " This is the best massage I have ever gotten in practicum, and from a first week practicum student." I WAS SOOOOO THRILLED!!!! Anyway , wether you all know it or not I really credit all the postings here and the great support you all give one another and the advise is priceless. Thanks.Oh and it was great fun too. I SO love being a MT, Finally know what I want to be when I grow up at 41 lol.
