OK, so I'm still (trying to find time to) studying for the NESL exam. Too much going on!
Anyway, I was taking the practice quizzes at massagenerd.com, specifically the one on back mucles actions, and the first question was
"Lateral flexion of spine" The choices are:
infraspinatus, teres minor, serratus posterior inferior, and serratus posterior superior.
It told me that the "correct" response was teres minor. I don't *think* I've seen any of the mentioned muscles acting to laterally flex the spine (though I could be wrong). I'm sure the infraspinatus doesn't. The Trail Guide book says that the Serrati "only affect movement of the ribs".
Can anyone tell me how the teres minor laterally flexes the spine, please? I am a little stumped. Everywhere I've searched has the teres minor acting on the arm and scapula, not the spine. Is the quiz wrong? If so, then how confident can I be in the rest of their quizzes?
