Swiss Reflex Therapy

Hi all,

Has anyone attended the Swiss Reflex Therapy course with Penny Price? (Posting it here as its aimed at qualified Aromatherapists for CPD - feel free to move it tho).It's one of the items on my very long wish list lol - I would be interested to hear from anyone who has completed it.

I worked with Penny many years ago whenwe wereworkingfor her mother - Shirley Price.Penny is a supurb Tutor and the course should be a good one as Shirley was the originator of the Swiss Reflex Therapy and Penny has had much experience over the years of teaching it. The technique can be used both as an assessment tool or as a Massage therapy - I can recommend it as being a set of tools that you will use again and again.

I've since found out that it's not being taught by Penny herself (also remember my tutor recommending their courses). I don't currently have the time to commit to a full reflexology course but felt this would complement my aromatherapy nicely in the meantime. It does sound an interesting course so this might be one to tick off the wish list

I just saw your post - I did my aromatherapy training with Penny Price and also met Shirley several times as well. The Swiss Reflex is taught as part of the clinical aromatherapy course and I believe you can also do it as a stand alone course. Its a fascinating diagnostic tool - I was initially sceptical but had amazing results with it and it enables you to select areas of treatment that a client may not tell you about during your history taking and you can then select oils that will be really beneficial. The foot massage is lovely - very relaxing - you work on the areas that have shown up during the foot assessment and you can feel crystals and knots disappearing whilst you do it - similar to reflexology [Shirley was a trained reflexologist] but with the added benefit of essential oils. I think reflexologists arent too impressed with Swiss Reflex but my clients love it.
Hope that helps - by the way the Peny Price training is excellent and the tutors arevery good andeven if you don't see too much of Penny, she is always available over the phone.

Hadn't checked my postings for a while so it wasa nice suprise to come across yours Thanks for the insight. Hadn't been able to find anyone that has done this and info has been hard to come by. I will definitely be looking into doing the stand alone course at some stage - just got to get some £££'s together
