Stop the presses - Kamur website updated!!!

Was surfing around the Internet this morning and happened to notice on one site a link to the Kamur strip club site - my former favorite strip club in Costa Rica. This site of course had become something of a joke here for a while, as they hadn't updated it in centuries - always showing the same old chicas who'd last worked there in 2006.

But at last they've updated it with a sleek new design - and it actually has pics of new dancers working there now. Otherwise, not too much information is offered, but it does still refer to it as "a full service adult environment." A few of the girls look pretty good - for those in town, it might be worth taking a look at to see what's up these days...

BTW - just noticed also that the homepage was dated 1/10/09, so apparently it was last updated a while ago. So once again, who knows how current the info presented is... :?

Thanks for the update, I'll have to check it out when I go down in a couple of weeks.

By the way, in Spanish dates are DD/MM/YY instead of MM/DD/YY. So 1/10/09 could be October 1, 2009.

Would appear that way as their website gives the days date and it shows 1/10/09 for today.

I disagree, they are not all clip joints out to screw the gringo. I have never been ripped off in a strip club, but then again, I don't put myself in a position to give them the opportunity. At PR, I always pay cash on delivery (for drinks and pu*sy). At LG, I always run a tab. BUT, the difference is that at LG, your tab is sitting right there in front of you in a cup on the table, and each time they bring you or the chica a drink, they write it in. So there's no chance to pad the bill. It's all totaled right in front of you. And it starts at the top. The owner there is a decent guy who appreciates repeat business.

If you just want to watch I have found that Alcazar is an honest place with decent looking dancers. The chica drinks are not too extreme, 5k as I recall, and the few times I have bought one for a girl, she didn't gulp it down and wasn't in a hurry to hustle the next drink. Mileages will vary, but my impression of the management was that they weren't trying to rip me off. On site services are expensive for full service but private dances are (I am told) affordable and potentially satisfying. Alcazar to me is what Russia is to Sarah Palin... I can see it from my window.

OK, maybe not all a rip off, but will stick with adequate as best. In a country with prostitution, what do you get at a strip joint that is not more expensive, and generally less quality than SL or even the DR? Each his own, they may not be terrible, just not worth the time for me.

I haven't been to Kamur but would give it a try. I still contend that if you (I) go in there and seek out the manager, buy him a drink (and once again) let him know in a not so abbrassive way that you are there for a good time.

You plan on buying drinks etc.. but don'tfuck with us....

Its when a group of gringos go in there albeit quietly/passively that gets you in trouble just as going in there as an "ugly American".

The phrase YMMV applies here.

I like to visit one or two each trip to spot potential new talent and (to borrow Cujo's favorite phrase) "plant seeds". As an example of what sort of talent you can find, I found a recent TOW dancing in a local strip club.

I agree places like Tango India and Hollywood are clip joints. But as I said before... YMMV.

Tru dat... I'm not a hater of the places. Will go every once in a while, mostly to have eye candy in the background. Kamur was good a few times I went. I just hate giving money to idiots and most that run the clubs here appear to be idiots. It should be pretty basic that you can make more money building up a following rather than screw as many guys as you can until the word gets out. i will definitely give the PR a shot sometime, as it has had pretty consistent good reviews here.

They probably mean "3 blocks south" or "300 metros al sur"
