First time stopped at Rosewater.... greeted by a mid 40 aged lady name Stella (said she is a part timer there). Opted in for a 30 minutes session... she was good with pressure where I needed the most. No tease at all

I completely agree with that. A 30 minute session is neither a massage nor leaves much room for negotiation.
Conversely, I was recently at Rosewater and had an outstanding massage with Jennifer. I will be returning.

It cuts both ways. It’s always irritates me when a semi-legit provider wants a bigger tip for the same HE simply because you opt for a 90 min session instead of 60 min. Personally I never do 30 min, I like (and need) more wind up time .

30 minutes??? That's not enough time for a decent massage OR extra service, let alone BOTH! And you're complaining about teasing, too?! Talk about "wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am" I hesitate going for 45 min. as I find it too rushed.

Suggestion taken. Usually I go for 30 minutes session to a new place I visit, but next time I will opt in for 1 hr.

It’s not worth my time to do a 30minute. If I’m going to steal away, it needs to be worth it.
But if I did my tip value/assessment doesn’t change. Same applies in a 90minute.
Funny though, I only do 30minute FS.

Once one knows the therapist is a good choice, anything less than an hour is kind of a waste of time. This is where therapists who run their own private businesses (not necessarily home based) have an opportunity to shine by offering 2 hour sessions with services that are more personalized for the client while going along with the YMMV principle of mutual attraction. I'm surprised that there aren't more of them. Or they are around but no one wants to talk about them

I prefer to keep gold mining for myself than share it. Of course, another factor is privacy.

I agree with not going with 30mins. I’ve never done that.

As for tipping, I actually pro-rate based on time. I give more for 90 mins than 60 mins. I figure they could be earning tips with someone else instead of spending more time with me. My 2 cents.

The reality for most therapists is that there is no "steady state" business. Meaning, only the rare ones are booked solid every one of their work days. So when they get a regular and repeating client, say 3 to 5 times a month who wants 90 minutes or 2 hour sessions, it is actually a blessing for them as it helps stabilize their income. So, no you are not taking up their time when they could be making more tips. The smart ones with business sense are happy to see you keep coming back.

I like 30min sessions with someone new to me, reduces my financial risk. If they're solid with a 30min session, then I rebook for an hour.

If you go for 90 minutes and she's not doing the glutes and hips and coming up the legs for a scrape or two then she's a nun. 60 minutes can give her the idea you just want back and neck done, maybe not even a flip. And if there isn't much to strut then I find out fast and won't bother with a repeat. It's also somewhat of a divining rod in that the really good masseuses look forward to the extra time and the lazy useless ones dread it.

If it's obviously just a rub'n tug and I just want a quick oil change then it's 60 minutes cuz why wait so long for the flip. Q: "How's the pressure?" A: "Fine. Do you do body slide?"
