SALT LAKE CITY – One person was arrested Thursday after police were notified about operations in what appeared to be a “possibly illegitimate massage business,” according to the Springville Police Department.
In a Facebook post, the Springville police department reported conducting surveillance at a business located at 1190 North Spring Creek Place after police were tipped off about “a possibly illegitimate massage business.”
A search warrant was served at the business, police said, and one female was arrested during the warrant service for prostitution and not having a proper business license.
“We are working on finding the boss man/woman who thought it was a great idea to set up a massage parlor of this caliber in our city and make a lot of money doing very illegal things,” the post said.
In the post, police clarified that another legitimate, licensed massage therapy business is located in the same complex and was not involved.
Police said they are still investigating and encouraged anybody with information to come forward.
This is a developing story. It may be updated.
