Sportsmassage duration

Their is a MS 150 tomorrow that is offering 30 min sportsmassage treatments. I was taught/told that 15 min for post event is the norm/ max. Sorry for the short notice, but my client came in today and mentioned he had signed up online for a 30 min treatment. Also, at 15 minutes, you can hit more of the masses.

When our class did post-event sports massages, we did 5-15 minutes.

I have a client who found me online that I'll do a short chair massage for tomorrow evening, and she'll be riding in that event. They are staying in the dorms here. It will not be immediately post-event, though, nor am I working with "the masses". Unless, of course, the masses see my chair and start begging.

I've done post-event work lasting from 5 to 30 minutes. Depends on the condition of the athlete, what needs doing, and how quickly you need to get to the next person.

I think it really depends on the reason the athlete is seeing a therapist. If it is to work on a specific injury or area I would perhaps say a short session of 15-20 min, but if you are working on a large area or multiple issues I don't see why you couldn't do up to an hour? Especially if you were working aneforum.xxxonist muscle groups and doing stretching or NMT. Just my thoughts!
