spatulas

Hi

I know we should be using spatulas for getting the wax from the container. I'm thinking that unless you use a new spatula each time, you run the risk of contamination if you wipe the wax onto a hand that has already been in contact with the patient. So do we use a new spatula each time?

Also can we wash the spatulas off or should they be thrown away after use?

Definitely thrown away after each use - well this is what we learned during massage especially when using cream on a client.

Throw them away. You don't want to risk and cross contamination. We were taught to use new every time.
