Spa Parties
Sorry for asking - but you didn't say very much in your original post.
And as R&R mentioned many state boards restrict off-site services (except in the case of the the infirm and disabled).
In my state for example - services may be performed in the above instances BUT the service provider must be affiliated with a licensed facility and the income/record keeping is supposed to be reported thru the facility.
The spa party idea seems to be the new "thing" now - and I have seen ads on craigslist from all kinds of people (like Mary Kay and Arbonne sellers who most certainly are NOT licensed).
Anyway - I don't do this because it's not really my thing but there may be others who have invested the time to come up with a great business.
Your first step might be to come up with the services that you could offer. You can't market to your target audience until you have a product to sell. If you already have partners or employees, go over what services they could offer and start brainstorming to put together a package. You can offer full services and "mini" services. For mini services you might want to package several together (they can choose say 3 out of a list of 6) for a flat rate. Decide how you will work your pricing - packages, hourly, per person, a la carte (custom), etc.
And then of course you will need to figure out the logistics of transporting your equipment and supplies to your party site. Your hosts will want you to be able to set up quickly and professionally, and to be prepared.
Good luck!
