Some help needed with introducing two guinea pigs :)?

I have a swiss guineas pig called luther (fat one in the middle):

And he is lonely, i wouldve gotten two when i bought him but the cage was too small. Luther is calm, gentle and love to play. And i have FINALLY found the perfect partner for him and the perfect pig for me, here he is:

Hes gorgeous, here are my questions:

1) Where can i introduce them? Can i put the run in a new area of the garden and put them in there, its very big.
2) Do i let them meet for an hour and if they get along put them in the BRAND NEW hutch with neither of them will have been in. Or do i do the dating game and have lots of little sessions with them every day before making a decission?

4) Do i put food in? some say it will distract them but others say it maked things worse!

both guinea pigs are adorable!!! and the hutch is perfect!! ii want oonee!! =] =] ok too introduce them =]

some people say introducing them in a bathtub but i think you should just put them straight in the hutch, because its a unfamiliar area to both so your current guinea pig won't feel like its just his! (hopefully!) i have two male guinea pigs from different breeders luckily enough they got along instantly, cuddle play chasey and everything, there even playing chasey right now! when i got my second guinea pig i told the lady i already had one she said you can rub vix (google it) on there behind so they both smell the same, guinea pigs will sniff each others bums when they first meet, so with vix they will both smell the same and wont know any different! i also make sure to put two of everything, two food bowls to water bowls etc etc so there is no fighting over food so i gave them separate food. alot of people say 2 males will fight and show aggression but i find it hard to believe because mine got along so well, hopefully yours are the same especially if you do the vix rub on the bum area =] good luck and i think they will love their new home!!
