I'm already in college part time to receive pre-req's for medical school (I don't need many credits, hence why it's part time). On top of that, I'm a Licensed Massage Therapist in New Hampshire and just received financing to take some Thai massage courses in Virginia, which is a great opportunity to expand on what I currently know as a therapist. This program is only a few courses here and there, not consistent classes like community college.
In spite of all this, I still wouldn't mind busying myself even more. There is a Tibetan Massage program that, after careful consideration, I could actually manage it in my schedule. It's sort of a part time curriculum, with a few classes a few days a week. It runs for a year and a half. The dilemma though is the drive.. it's 2 1/2 hours one way, meaning 5 hours one day, or 15 hours extra driving in a week.
I also work weekends, on top of being in part-time community college, and with plans to take Thai massage courses. While the Tibetan massage doesn't interfere with any of the other training, does it sound like too much driving for someone who is in school at two other locations, even though it might "work out" time slot wise?
I'm moving out west to med school in May or June 2013. Once I do that this program will be very hard to accomplish. I can't say I've driven really long distances for school before, on top of a somewhat busy schedule already. Is it just too much?
