Hi there!
My name is Ana and I have studied Sensitive Gestalt Massage with Miguel A. Beltran between Spain (where I'm from originally) and Switzerland. It was the most wanderful experience ever where meditation was a fundamental practice. Miguel A. was a "Philosophy For The Languaje" teacher at uni in Italy and Spain for 25 years. whilst he was creating and developing, with other collegues, the Scuola della Filosomatica. We were the first group in Spain so we collaborated to the development with our experiences and ideas. Filosomatica means knowledge gained through the soma (body) experience. How can be more real than that! at the end of the massage the client gives a feed back so he/she conqueres the new landscape and can go back to it whenever needed. We (the therapists) don't make it, we just guide and acompany in the process that sometimes comes with a huge emotional charge that needs to be holded by an expert.
Yes, Gestalt was created by an "american woman", which there's nothing wrong with it. There's some real great american people aswell. Only the politicians are guilty of the destruction and wrong judgements.
Gestalt brought a new way to approaching mind, body and spirit issues. It's not only psychotherapy, but a new way better adapted to our needs that can be used in psychotherapies.
GESTALT = WHOLENESS
Gestalt Therapy was developed by Fritz Perls, Laura Perls and Paul Goodman in the 1940's and 1950's. It is a form of theory of mind and brain positing that the operational principle of the brain is holistic, parallel and analog, with self-organizing tendencies. The Gestalt-effect is the form-generating capability of our senses.
It'a not an underground discipline, but fully recognised and registered, aswell as the Scuola Della Filosomatica. It needs to be experimental to keep open minded as human mind keeps changing and evolving. But still there's a cience behind it based in real facts.
I'm an S.G.M. therapist in York, UK and I'm truly glad to be responsable for the transformation my clients go through after the treatments! It's some kind of alkimia!
It's also very helpful for neuronal recovery, loss of sensitiveness... It's goal is awareness so it's good for body, mind and spirit desseases. Our body is a receptive portal for the external world and it needs to be taken care of and loved.
Here's my website. I perform other threatments appart from S.G.M. as I also studied Sports Massage. Hope you enjoy the visit
