I am process of building a practice that will primarily offer professional and reliable chair massage services to companies, workplaces and events in my area. However, I am finding it a bit difficult to come up with my initial contact letter. Several people have directed me to ABMP for ideas, but I am not a member and really have no desire to change that status. I did contact numerous "Corporate Chair Massage” companies throughout the United States, but with very few exceptions, I did not receive any word back. :banghead: Having said that, if any of you have a letter that you use, or an idea of how to proceed, please share it with me… I promise it WILL be greatly appreciated.

Sales Letter?

An initial contact letter should be fairly easy to design. It should have information such as your name, your services, rates, availability, and possibly some benefits of why massage is useful in the corporate setting. I would say your bigger issue is how you will get these to clients, do you plan to mail or walk door to door? I'd definitely say there are companies out there that would definitely consider corporate massage, but no one has asked! One of my best clients when I began was a telemarketing company where everyone was on phones daily! I set up a chair and a table, they paid for top employees to receive 30 min table sessions, and then everyone else received chair massage (I also offered hot stone chair massage since they had over 50 employees and that's a lot of hand work!!!) I charged $35 for the half hour and dollar a min for chair massage. I also accepted tips, though I didn't ask or advertise that they had too, some people are just nice =) It was a great way to build clientel outside of the office also since many people wanted 60 min at their homes or for family members. Sales Letter?

Have you checked out David Palmer's book, "Marketing Chair Massage"? It has sample letters and other suggestions for "getting your foot in the door." It was written in 1992, but most of it is still as relevant as ever. David sells it at his website, touchpro, and we sell it at our website, too.
