I am about to take the national and like others I have been looking for a study guide book to aid my preperations.
If you are doing this too you will come cross many books and some state they are the best, bla bla bla. only go with the ones that back their book with a guarentee. So I purchased one and it pays to research. Which I Did not do enough.
Now this is my opinion and I dont mean to ruffle any feathers or insult any one but, DO NOT BUY the book Massage National Exam by Daphna R. Moore.
The book claims to be like the National and have questions and that graduate students whom have just passed the national write in and provide her with updated Q & A.. You will find that the book has much information but it is VERY Hodge Podge! It jumps around and is hard to follow. And what is submitted are fragments of what people think they remember and then they write the questions. These questions are not in the format that is on the National that you will be asked.
The book also has some questions that the answers are provided buy the students who submitted the information and they state in the book that there are wrong answers to questions in the guide BUT that they do not correct, they only submit what the students write in. Why create a book that has wrong information to start off with how does this help?
You will about $40.00 and be upset as I am. The company has no return policy. Other companies that I have researched after the fact do stand behind their product and have return policies. Go with what the NCBTMB suggests.
Look Before you buy.
