reflexology relaxator versus laflamma chairs, any views

Can anyone who uses these chairs advise me please. I'm thinking of getting the relaxator to keep for home use, has anyone got one and where is the best place to buy them.

I know!!! Costco sell them much cheaper than anywhere else but only in the summer as they are sold there with the garden furniture.....strange, yes, but true.

You have to join or get a card from somebody. There is one in Manchester, Liverpool and Bushey Hertfordshire and possibly elsewhere and they are an American cut price outlet place. They are still quite pricey, but definately cheaper. I had a good look at them and very nice they are too, though I use a couch myself so haven't got one.

Hi,

The Lafuma is great, handy to fold up and pretty light. But it doesnt lock in place very well for bigger clients.

The relaxator is about £125 more, looks a little "60s" NHS but is probably a better long term investment.

£70 is a good saving because the Lafumas usually come in between £100 and £125. You can get them at Wyevales and other garden centres as well as online. A friend of mine saw the lafuma at my house the other day and didn't rate the look of it, but when he tried it out it was a different matter. Anyone got any more views on the Relaxator, since I haven't seen one and would be intrested to know more.

Does anyone have a portaped and do you rate them?

My Costco card is working I think till April time, here's hoping they get the summer gear in early! 70 is a great price, will give them a ring in a few weeks and see if they have them yet.

go to france... they are about 50 quid there!! i was lucky to get mine from a garden centre at the end of the season and based on the fact that the box was water stained, the chair was fine. i got it for 60 i think!! they were selling them for 99 at the time.

I use a portaped and a lafuma. They're both great, the portaped takes up much less room in the car boot and is very light-weight to carry.
I usually take both along with me on a home visit and then depending on the client I decide which to use - some people are too big for a lafuma or don't like being tipped back.

That's a good idea Sulis. Have got a couple of people who are just a little too tall so their feet and ankles dangle off the edge of the lafuma. Time to investigate the portaped I think.

Has anyone got a lafuma AND a relaxator, if so any comments or comparisons? Which of them leaves the client's feet higher up? I can find with the lafuma that they end up just a little low...

Ooh, I love my LaFuma!

Got mine from Towsure, they had an offer on at the time for buying two. My friend and I got quite a good saving. (just noticed there is an offer on at the moment - 2 for £175)

People I've treated on them all coment on how comfy it is, some asking where they can get them so they can have them in the garden! (which I keep forgetting is what they were made for!)

PS I always have quite a plump cushion under the feet on the LaFuma
