Recipes for base products

Hello All and Happy New Year!

I am sure this has been asked many times before so apologies if this information is already in the forum.

I have recently qualified as an aromatherapist and so excited about now offering this wonderful treatment to my clients.

I spent a small fortune at Christmas from Neals Yard for family and friends (I really didn't have time to make my own). Although in our course we were taught very basic recipies for lip balms and creams, I really would like to make my own for home use mainly.

I have tried to resource where to buy my base products from but so confused. So far, I have been using Bay House whom I have found really helpful but I was just wondering if anyone could recommend any other companies or products.

My other request was finding a good resource for recipies. I know that Aromantic have a good book but are there any other websites which have good recipies for base products - lip balms, hand creams, facial washes, shower gels etc.

Any advice/direction is really appreciated

I buy all my bits from Alan Howell www.shechina.co.uk . You can get most of the base product bits and a fab range of essential oils. As for recipes try google. Once you've got the base recipes you can then blend your own essential oils in for fragrance and healing.

Just curosity, is that the same Alan that does Kinisoleogy in Sevenoaks?

I don't know about Kinesiology, but, he does healing, shiatsu and is an essential oil supplier among other things. Sue

You could tree New Directions (they're an Australian company but have a UK based depot too), Aromantic and Plush Folly. All have good ingredients to make products and has recipes on their too. Also The Soap Kitchen.
