reasoning behind contraindications

Hi all.. working on my aromatherapy assignment, i've listed some CI's to Aromatherapy and need to state the reasons behind them.. i've completed pregnancy, homeopathic medi and sensitive skin, i'm stuck on Cancer, Bruises, varicose veins..

Varicose Veins - local contraindication you dont massage heavily beneath a VV, can cause blood clots.
Bruisies - local contra, area can be sore and inflammed. If bruises are on there way out and yellowing with no pain then not normally a problem (dont put that on your assignment though)
Cancer - I dont actually believe this is a true contra but obviously for your exam it is.....theory is you may spread rogue cells around the body.
