Quick Licensing question.

Not sure where to post this, so I thought to give it a shot. When you get your license, what do the letters (MA) stand for? I know they are usually MA?????.

Just curious, I don't remember being told in school.

The Florida board has a Massage Apprenticeship program. Is that what it might be?

Nope, not apprentice. I went to a massage school and took the NCE.

Maybe it only means Massage Applicant. It might be that the number is assigned to your application as soon as they first begin to process it and then that number becomes your license number.

I'm not sure either...and to add to the confusion, a massage establishment in Florida begins with MM versus MA. Things that make you go, hmmmmmm. :?

In Maine, the license number begins with MT...presumably Massage Therapist (?).
