Questions about first time massage - male/female, panties or nude?

Getting a massage for the first time. I have a gift certificate to a spirituality yoga/massage center in my town. I was thinking about booking with a male therapist there, but is that generally awkward the first time you get one? Also, his bio says you can get undressed to your comfort level .. do you go with or without panties?

Haha no, I'm going because I received a gift certificate as a birthday gift and would like to relax. The only reason I was leaning towards the male was because his bio seemed to fit what I was looking for, however I wasn't sure if I would feel 100% comfortable. For the record, it is a reputable place.

If he's a legitimate massage therapist and not a scammer, you should be keeping your panties on. I would seriously be cautious around any male that states otherwise. A massage can be a relaxing, wonderful thing...but if the guy is skanky, I'd never be able to relax enough.

When you take everything off, your massage therapist can do a better job massaging your lower back muscles and glutes. If that makes you too self-concious to relax on the massage table, by all means leave your underpants on. The bra has to come off to allow access to your back and shoulders. Your massage therapist will not expose or touch your breasts, gluteal crease or genitalia.

Your massage therapist will have you covered with a sheet at all times and will move the sheet out of the way to expose only the area being worked on. In most states, that's the law. In all states, it's good practice.

As for the male/female therapist question, you've done the right thing in selecting by qualifications instead of gender. Any qualified massage therapist works on both men and women. You've said this is a reputable place and you know he's a professional. You'll be comfortable within seconds of beginning the massage.

I've had tons of professional massages before but never by a male. I don't think it matters either way. I just scheduled it, liked the woman who did it, and always asked for her. It's like getting your hair cut. If you go back to the same place, you end up with the same person.

The first time I ever got a massage I wore my panties. It didn't make much sense because they massage the muscles in your hip socket and she had to work around my panties. After that, I just went nude.
Believe me, massotherapists can lose their license if something weird goes on so most are extremely discrete and hold up a sheet for you when you turn over on the bed so they don't see anything. They are careful to keep your butt covered at all times and your breasts as well.

I certainly wouldn't go to a male masseur! The masseur's hands will go round the sides towards your breasts and down into your 'crack', so a female would be preferable. I always keep my underwear on. You can unhook your bra or take it off, but certainly keep your lower part 'respectable'.

Massage is always Male to Male and Female to Female basis unless they run a f*** center under the banner of Massage or Yoga. Be careful & do all inquiry before you visit any one. Nude or pantie is your wish & not a compulsion. Ideally, you should go to Female and wear Bra/Pantie.
